As an accredited GP training practice we have the privilege of raising local GP's in our region. GP registrars bring a different flavour to our clinical practice, they keep us all on our toes! They contribute to appointments and sometimes become the doctors of the future in our practices regionally.
They are overseen by specialist GP trainers (Dr R Saha and Dr K Anthony). They are not medical students but doctors learning the competencies of General Practice.
The Durham & Tees Valley vocational training scheme runs the whole programme of development. https://madeinheene.hee.nhs.uk/dtvgptraining
The practice is also a GP student training practice for 3rd and 5th year medical students overseen by Dr R Johnson.
Thank you very much for engaging with them and helping support general practice in the years to come.
