General Practitioners

Dr Raj Saha MBBS, BSc, RCGP accredited 1999, GMC 4234074

Dr Saha has been a G.P since 2000 and is involved in the training of future GPs and Medical Students.  He holds specialist qualifications in Diabetes and Cardiology.

Dr James Gossow MBChB, FRCGP GMC 4323907

Dr Gossow has a specialist interest in drug rehabilitation and prison/forensic medicine. He has held numerous VSM (very senior management) posts including:  PEC (Professional Executive Chair) South Tees, Medical Director for prisons in the North East and Medical Director for Tees PCTs (Primary Care Trusts). Currently Dr Gossow is working as Medical Director for NECS (North East Commissioning Support) and assistant Medical Director for Cumbria and the North East.  Dr Gossow became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2009.

Dr Ruth Johnson MBChB, DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP , GMC 4257930

Dr Johnson qualified as a doctor from the University of Leeds in 1995 and completed her G.P training with the Cleveland Training Scheme in 2003.  Dr Johnson teaches 3rd and 5th year medical students attached to the practice and supports the G.P registrar training.  She is the Clinical Lead for the Care Closer to Home Work Stream for NHS South Tees CCG and our Practice representative for the Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Katherine Anthony MBChB,  DCH, RCGP accredited 2006  GMC 4543206

Dr Anthony is originally Middlesbrough.  Graduating as a doctor from Edinburgh Medical School in 1998, she subsequently moved back to Teesside.  Dr Anthony completed her training with the Cleveland G.P scheme in 2001.  She has particular interests in the areas of diabetes, women’s health and paediatrics, and is also a G.P trainer.

Dr Alex Jones, MbChB, MRCGP  GMC 7038102

Is originally from Redcar and is a newly qualified GP, she studied in Liverpool university then returned to Teesside after qualifying in 2009. Since then she has worked in James Cook and in several Teeside GP surgeries whilst completing her GP training. She assists Dr Johnson in teaching 3rd year medical students and is particularly interested in psychiatry and paediatrics.

Dr Donna Moore MCBMSc (Salaried GP) GMC no. 3179262

Dr Moore qualified as a doctor in 1986 from Manchester University and was accredited as a G.P in Ashton-under-Lyne in 1990.  She was a partner in a Redcar practice for 14 years.  She has an interest in mental health and works one day a week at Roseberry Park.
